1. About the Department:

The faculties of department are actively involved in academic, institutional and capacity building activities of the college. Faculty also serves as life members of different professional groups and societies, review committee, student advisory committee, organizing committees of Institutional/National level. Faculty has received notable awards and certificates in conferences, professional bodies, etc.

3. Facilities Available/ Department Sections:

Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry Lab has adequate facilities to undertake research on mammalian and avian hematology, climatology and basic biochemical analysis. The available facilities are Automatic Hematologicalanalyzer, Spectrophotometer, ECG, Elisa Reader, Sphygmomanometer (Digital/LED/Dial), Viscometer, Urinometer, Meteorological instruments (Max and Min thermometer, Wind vane, Lux meter, Sling Pshychrometer, Anemometer, Barometer & Rain gauge), Flame Photometer, Paper Chromatography system, Fume hood, Blood Chemistry semi auto analyzer, Refractometer, Spectrophotometer, Calorimeter etc. In addition to regular academic activities, Dept. of VPB actively participates in Institutional and capacity building programmes. Dept. of VPB organized the following events during the academic session 2017-18 & 2018-19


  • a) Visit to Meteorological centre, Jaipur for I Year B.V.Sc. & A. H. students (2018-19) on 15/03/2019
  • b) National Veterinary Physiology Quiz 2018 – Institute level competition on 25/09/2018 by Dept. of VPB, ACVM at Jaipur
  • c) Society of Animal Physiologists of India (SAPI) and Dept of VPB, ACVM jointly organized National Veterinary Physiology Quiz 2018 – Zonal Level competition on 06/10/2018.
  • d) Department also involved in implementing new teaching methodologies and ICTs in day-to-day lectures such as Micro-teaching, online class test, etc,
  • e) Department also analyzes the clinical sample routinely for various hematological and biochemical parameters received from Veterinary Clinical complex & Livestock farm complex.
