About the Department:

All faculty of the department is effectively associated with academic and institutional capacity building in the college. Veterinary gynaecology and obstetrics aims to boost the reproductive health care of animals. With this objective the department of veterinary gynaecology and obstetrics has been started to impart teaching and extension activities. The Department also contributed in ambulatory services, infertility treatment camps in collaboration with veterinary clinical complex in different villages. Faculty has received noteworthy awards and certificates in various conferences.

Facilities Available :

Department has basic facilities to carry out undergraduate practical. Routine Pregnancy diagnosis and AI. Using USG for carrying out work on early pregnancy diagnosis, study of follicular dynamics, ascertaining cystic ovary conditions, optimizing the time of insemination by measuring the dominant follicle size at the time of estrus. Reproductive health care of animals and regular clinics for various reproductive problems. Ambulatory services to five different villages adopted by the Apollo College of Veterinary Medicine for the Welfare of animals. Awareness campaign for estrus detection, protection against common reproductive ailments, colostrums feeding and neonatal care through camps.
