All the faculties of the department are actively involved in academic and institutional capacity building in the college. The faculty of this department prepared practical manuals, lecture notes and power point presentations to the student community for easy understanding. The faculty members serve as life members of different professional groups, student advisory committees and in organizing committees. Faculties involved in the conduct of seminars and symposiums of the college related to World Tuberculosis Day, World Veterinary Day, World Zoonosis Day & World Rabies Day every year. Faculty members attending various training programs offered by other needy departments of the state. Faculty members presenting their research findings in various seminars and symposiums regularly. The department submitted two research projects to the private agencies of Rajasthan state on herbal products. The faculties regularly screening the animal population of the campus every year for bacterial, viral, fungal and rickettsial parasites including zoonotic diseases as a part of animal health coverage. Faculties received awards and certificates in various seminars and symposiums.

The department is well equipped with equipments for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research. This department is having laboratory facilities to conduct the academic programs in Clinical Medicine and Preventive Medicine.
