DEPARTMENT OF VETERINARY PARASITOLOGY


1. About the Department:

Department of Veterinary Parasitology was established in the year 2003 along with the inception of the college. The department is engaged in under graduate teaching programme abiding by latest VCI curriculum. The department is dedicated to teaching of B. V. Sc. & A. H. student in the class room and laboratory about the different aspect of Parasitology. The department has excellent laboratory facilities and adequate infrastructure to cater to the needs of both undergraduate and post graduate teaching, research and extension activities. Department also participate in different village camp for the farmers to acquaint them about the harmful effect caused by the parasites and also how to overcome the parasites related problems.

3. Facilities Available/ Department Sections:

The Department is equipped with equipments for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research. Laboratories set up as per MSVE-2016 for UG teachings viz. Helminthology lab cum Museum, Entomology and Protozoology lab etc. Department provided the facilities for examination of faecal material, blood smear, and skin scraping examination for farm units, as well as field samples
