About the Department:

The Department of Veterinary Surgery and Radiology is full-fledged department with all modern and latest instruments and appliance .This department mandate for teaching and research in various disciplines of the subject viz. general surgery, anaesthesiology, radiology, orthopedics and experimental surgery. The teaching programme of the department have been planned to provide effective practical training to the undergraduate students. Apart from offering courses to the students of B.V.Sc. & A.H, degree in Veterinary Surgery and Radiology,The faculty members collaborate with the Veterinary Clinical Complex for internship programme and to offer clinical practice courses to the undergraduate students. Clinical camps are also held routinely at nearby village present around Jaipur, Rajasthan. The faculty members of this department have always followed time honoured tradition of team work and made collective efforts to maintain high standards of teaching and research.

Facilities Available :

This Department is equipped with all type of facility of management of surgical affections of the livestock and pet animals. .The department has well equipped small and large animal operation theatres for routine as well as specialized surgical procedures Apart from this Department has Radiology, Modern Physiotherapy and endoscopy facilities.

Two well equipped operation theater : -

1. Small animal operation theater and large animal operation theater

Endoscopy and endosurgery in animals
Automatic Electrocardiography (ECG)
Multiparameter monitor
Treatment and Management of all surgical and nonsurgical disorders (wound, Abscess) in animals,
Management and treatment of pain, stress and distress in animals who are suffering from lameness due any orthopedic disease and neurological disorder.
